KIX drummer Jimmy "Chocolate" Chalfant is "doing great" after collapsing onstage last month and will resume playing shows with the band in February. The incident occurred on November 18 at the first show of what was scheduled to be KIX's two-night stand at the Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, Virginia with openers AMERICAN JETSET. PANTERA has just taken the stage at Mexico's Hell & Heaven Metal Fest. The show, which marks the band's first live performance in over 20 years, features PANTERA's reformed lineup, consisting of surviving members Rex Brown (bass) and Philip Anselmo (vocals) along with guitarist Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and drummer Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX). JOURNEY guitarist Neal Schon has floated the idea of a reunion with co founding JOURNEY and SANTANA keyboardist Gregg Rolie. METALLICA has confirmed the title and release date of its forthcoming 12th studio album: "72 Seasons" will be available April 14, 2023 via the band's own Blackened Recordings.
